Our morning in Madrid started with lovely blue skies and we went off in search of breakfast before our plan to roam around museums and parks. Not sure what to do for breakfast we walked from our little apartment down Paseo del Prado.
After our little breakfast we walked to La Reina Sofia, or its full name Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia is Spain's national museum of 20th century art. I remember going here with my mother in 2009. The museum mainly focuses on Spanish artists with a lot of work by both Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali.
The museum is quite large with multiple rooms and floors. It's a bit easy to get lost and we moved through the rooms trying to get an idea of everything. They had an display on children's playgrounds that I found quite interesting.
We finished with the Reina Sofia in the gift shop where I was tempted to purchase many things. There was a book on lists I was quite interested in.
